Taylor Herring's production arm, St Marks Studios, is looking for a 3D animator for a short term contract to support the video and event production team. We are looking for a freelance 3D animator who loves what they do, someone who is both able to visualise the impossible while always keeping in mind the needs of our end user. You'll be working directly with our Head of Production and Producers to produce concepts and short-form animations. You will also be applying your knowledge of the Adobe Suite, especially After Effects, to edit existing and create new 3D animations/motion graphics.

Responsibilities:
Taking highly abstract concepts and visualising them into storyboards, concept imagery and short-form animations.
Contribute to designing new concepts.
Producing storyboards and concept imagery quickly from scratch.
Take a verbal brief or idea and quickly produce concept imagery that can be interpreted by other departments and placed into an internal brief.
Additionally, this role requires the editing of pre-existing motion graphics and 3D animations, ensuring all work conforms to brand and visual guidelines.
Create new motion graphics and 3D animations in after effects, adhering to an established format.

Key skills:
3+ years of professional experience in film/video production, or animation production.
Ability to draw from scratch.
In-depth knowledge of Illustrator and After Effects, with competence across the Adobe suite.
A problem solver who can take an awkward brief and come up with creative, relevant solutions.
Someone who can quickly demonstrate ideas without the need for perfection.
Has a demonstrable customer-focused mindset, able to contribute to ideas being produced for clients.
Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in storyboarding, concept art, illustration, 3D animation, and graphic design.

Desirable:
Experience working with 2D creation and/or 2D animation, motion graphics tools and problem-free.
