On top of this, a 3D Artist is also responsible for researching upcoming projects in order to help find new ways to create designs or animations.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of a project, they may also help conceptualise ideas and processes to come up with the best plan of action. Then, towards the end of the project, they will receive feedback from directors, clients, or other animators and they will make several alterations before the final design is approved. This aspect of a 3D Artist&#8217;s role with involve meeting with clients, designers and directors to review projects and deadlines and agree on a timeline for the project.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An aptitude for art and creativity<\/li>\n<li>Good communication<\/li>\n<li>Good time management<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team and individually<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of how to use software such as Adobe Photoshop and 3D Max<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary &amp; Working Hours<\/strong><br \/>\nThe average salary of a 3D Artist in the United Kingdom is \u00a325,500. However, salaries can range from around \u00a319,000 right up to \u00a340,000 depending on your experience, and the scale of the project you are working on.<\/p>\n<p>The position of 3D Artist is often a full time role with regular hours, but when deadlines are fast approaching, it may be required that you work late or work at weekends. Sometimes there is the opportunity for 3D Artists to work from home, but this depends on how flexible the company is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Become a 3D Artist<\/strong><br \/>\nTo become a 3D Artist, a degree in a related subject such as Fine Art is recommended, but is not required. It is possible to find positions without formal education, but most companies now require a certificate, degree or some form of training.
