What is a Production Secretary?<\/strong>
\nAs a Production Secretary, you will work with the Production Coordinator and Production Manager.\u00a0The scope of the job will largely depend on the company you work for. Some Production Secretaries are junior while others in smaller companies may work closely with the Producer and Director.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The ‘Office’<\/strong>
\nAgain, where you work will be largely down to the production. In some instances, you’ll be working on location, in others in an office. You’ll be expected to answer phone calls and relay messages and assist the Production Coordinator in organising accommodation for cast and crew members as they move to different filming locations.<\/p>\n

Part of your role will also entail looking after the ‘production paperwork’. Contact information will need to be kept for everyone working on a production. Script changes will also come under your jurisdiction \u2013 you’ll need to keep note of any changes, photocopy important documents and file away contracts.\u00a0 Additionally, you may be expected to create and issue call sheets.<\/p>\n

You will also be responsible for the office stock, keeping note of stationary and office supplies and ordering extra items as required.<\/p>\n
