Video Director

London

Day One (D1) is the internal creative agency that sits under Amazon Global Mass Marketing and sets brand direction for Amazon's global Retail and Kindles devices business. Our mission is to create beautifully designed visual communications that incorporate TV adverts, video production, photography, style guides, and user experiences. We apply strategic insight to delight customers - driving discovery, engagement, and trust. We're growing quickly and hiring the best. Be part of something special.

Video is at the heart of our content and advertising strategies and our main marketing format, so we are looking to recruit a seasoned video director with a passion for creating engaging video content for our customers in all formats. We are seeking an accomplished and dependable director to further strengthen our in house capabilities, get involved with the creative development of video projects, pitching ideas, and leading shoots from end to end delivery.

We're looking for a motivated individual to lead all aspects of a video or advert from concept through final delivery, ensuring that all elements conform to the brand and creative vision. This is a hands-on position that includes executing creative direction, establishing styles, look and feel, tonality, and ensuring visual consistency and branding across multiple projects. You will use your creative and technical experience to help craft engaging content across a variety of formats, and continually raise the bar on quality.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, proficient and versatile Video Director to join our growing team. Joining our fast-paced environment provides a unique opportunity to help represent the Amazon brand visually, set global video standards, and innovate with creative sensibility and technical knowledge. A successful candidate will be an effective communicator that can handle multiple projects from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines.

Reporting to the Video Creative Director, you start with the customer in mind and understand the powerful role that video content can play in a successful and engaging customer experience. You will be skilled in developing winning formats and content, directing outside agencies/production companies, self-shooting and smaller crews with internal kit and managing a idea to budget. You will motivate your creative teammates, and encourage fresh thinking and new approaches to video.

You will inspire confidence by your project management and tenacity in meeting a deadline and show an unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts. You will provide clear ownership and accountability to anything you touch, and see it through beyond completion - measuring a project's success beyond delivery. You will show a relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business priorities.
