Technical Runner (Wales)

Penarth

We are seeking a keen, driven, independently minded person to fill the post of technical runner at our successful
advertising agency. The job entails all the back end tasks at our company such as file creation and encoding,
archiving of projects, backing up rushes and so on. Some basic editing may be asked of you as well as duties as a runner.
The successful candidate should ideally have a background in media or broadcast (although not essential) and be familiar with various file formats and software packages. A knowledge of computers, for example if you can build or maintain PC or Macs and a technical mind would be of a great advantage.

Main job duties include:
File creation and encoding of all our output.
Backing up of rushes.
LTO archiving of projects.
Database creation and upkeep.
Storage and ordering of drives.
Runner duties.

You won't be expected to know how to do these things straight away as a lot will be taught. However, You will be an integral part of a four person post production department working closely with two online and two offline editors as well as collaborating with the production department where a good personality and strong work ethic would be beneficial.
