Working in a small team, the Technical OperationsAssistant shall be jointly responsible for the efficient delivery of high quality technical broadcast materials for broadcasters, within agreed timelines and technical specifications. Demonstrating excellent customer focus and communication skills, the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure is essential.
This position is in the Technical and Marketing team.
The Ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with some knowledge of all technical formats and delivery methods, including both tape delivery and digital delivery. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on excel skills and knowledge of Apple Mac software would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Co-ordinate the DCD Rights catalogue of content and entire library of programming. Liaise with facilities houses and raise purchase orders to order dubs, QC of masters, edits and content movement
Co-ordinate deliveries to Video-On-Demand platforms including Hulu, Netflix and iTunes.
Use strong communication skills to arrange delivery of materials from producers to satisfy all upcoming deals and deliver to broadcaster TX dates
Liaise regularly with broadcasters to understand technical requirements, deadlines and update on all delivery information. Co-ordinate all master rejections or issues. The ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential, as is having a large degree of initiative.
Send out all DVD screeners to broadcasters and log the process.
Co-ordinate all metadata queries and send out all supporting materials for broadcasters in a timely fashion. Experience of uploading and downloading from FTP sites and sending content digitally an advantage
Update all content regularly on the DCD Rights website, including encoding content and uploading. Co-ordinate and activate all subscribers. Update content on Sales team iPads
Other General Activities
Update the internal database regarding material movement and new content
Work with the accounting team and manage all material purchase orders and invoices
Book and send content worldwide using various courier companies
Liaise with colleague's regularly regarding upcoming deals. Take part in the weekly meetings
Ad hoc tasks as may be given from time to time.

This role would suit a college leaver.
The short listed candidates will need to attend an interview in our offices in Hammersmith and they will have a practical test to test their organization skills
