The Young Vic is one of London's busiest theatres. Based on The Cut in Waterloo we produce new plays, classics, musicals, short films and more. We attract large and complex audiences, we win major awards, we have deep connections in our neighbourhoods and we take shows to the West End and New York. Recent shows include The Scottsboro Boys, A View from the Bridge, A Streetcar Named Desire and Yerma.

We're looking for a Technical Director to manage our large technical team as they produce shows in our theatres, on tour and in the West End.

You will oversee around 18 productions each year, working closely with brilliant artists, national and international, hugely experienced and younger, sometimes simultaneously in all 3 spaces and on tour.

You will need significant experience of mounting productions in a producing theatre and show evidence of a sophisticated approach to the establishment and leadership of production management, stage management, costume, sound, lighting and stage teams.

Salary c £53,500
Initially fixed term for one year. Contract may be extended after the first year.
