This position is ideal for a well organised, methodical self starter to aid in the setting up of and then manage the day to day running of our in-house motion and stills photography studio. Responsibilities will include the administration of the studio space as well as management of our associated camera and lighting equipment. The role would suit someone with experience of working in a studio or camera-hire environment looking for a step up in responsibility.
You will need to manage yourself on a day to day basis, pay attention to detail, liaise with producers and project managers and work well under pressure. We require someone of a pro-active nature to help shape the role and grow the facility.
The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of both the creative and technical processes involved in stills and motion photography.
Responsibilities
To manage the studio space; take bookings and work with producers and project managers to schedule jobs.
To keep the equipment room organised and tidy, and run an efficient and accurate equipment booking system for camera and lighting equipment.
To manage the maintenance and upkeep of the studio and camera equipment.
To keep abreast of changes in technology and help keep the department up to date in terms of equipment and studio capability.
To work as camera assistant on stills and motion photography shoots
To manage our roster of cameramen and photographers.
To work with our in-house videographer and runner to ensure the smooth workings of the creative department with respect to filming activities.
To work with our post-production department to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all photography data.
To work with the creative team to help deliver creative excellence across all projects which come through the studio.
Requirements
Must have working experience of a studio environment.
Must have proven knowledge of stills and motion cameras.
(Currently we own an FS7, C305 and 4x Canon 5D)Must have experience of managing relevant administrational systems.
