The Studio Bookings team delivers the resourcing function for Sky's operational crews and are responsible for using intelligent resourcing to support the creative in-house output of the business. The environment is a diverse, fast paced culture where we look for people who can think creatively, problem solve quickly and use their social skills to support the crews and our internal clients: Sky Sports, Sky News, Sky 1, Sky Atlantic and Sky Living etc. You will also support the external clients (production companies) working with the channels on our commissions.

Job Purpose
The Coordinator's primary function is to create realistic and challenging rosters, optimizing shift time, facilities and equipment utilization. This involves workforce administration and decision making in collaboration with Studios Team Leaders, to balance the needs of the client against the potential impact it could have on Production Studios. The Coordinator will ensure the effective and efficient scheduling of resources whilst maintaining data accuracy and integrity, as well as being able to cover absences effectively and react to short notice production amendments with limited impact on Production Studios and the crews.
Candidate Specification
Working as part of a team producing fortnightly rosters, you will need to have strong organisation skills and attention to detail. You will need to be able to demonstrate a passion for the industry and a desire to progress and develop your career with Sky. Previous work experience in a similar role in the industry is not essential, but a knowledge of production terminology and workflows is advantageous.
You will need to be able to use your understanding of both departments (Studio Bookings and Sky Production Studios) to communicate effectively with our studio community, maintaining a constant level of support to the studios from this department.
You will need to be able to think laterally and also be able to manage a range of financial and resourcing databases. Working closely with the other Studio Bookings Coordinators and the operational supervisors, you will need to be a strong communicator and be able to deal with complex resourcing challenges.
