Studio & Gallery Manager

The responsibility of Studio & Gallery Manager is to manager and ensure a smooth technical operation of Live news, Sports & Current affairs programming.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage the Technical Co-ordinators
Responsible to oversee the Studio & Gallery.
Manage and ensure a smooth technical operation of Live news, Sports & Current affairs programming.
Responsible to be the key liaison with the Engineering teams for all technical matters.
Lead planning meetings.
Assist with the hire & purchase of studio equipment.
Co-ordinate with the post production & MCR teams.
Lead the maintenance of studio & gallery equipment.
Organise yearly PAT testing & weight testing for equipment & lighting grids.
Ensure staff adhere to correct Health & Safety procedures, and necessary Risk Assessments are completed.
Ensure Studio logs are completed & stored correctly.
Ensure studio & gallery are kept tidy at all times.
Key Skills/ Personal Attributes and Knowledge Required:
Fluent English speaker and able to communicate effectively verbally & in writing.
Able to report & define detailed technical issues through clear diagrams.
Commitment to solve problems quickly and effectively.
To be able to translate user requirements into technical requirements and technical specifications.
Able to multi-task.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to manage a small team.
Deadline Driven.
Calm under pressure
Knowledge of Lawo, Congo Jnr, & TDIL operations & workflows as advantage.
Need to understand the technical processes involved in television production, including camera, lighting and sound.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10 years' experience in busy studio and broadcast environment
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
