The role of the Senior Producer is to produce shoots and Tier 1 and Tier 2 campaigns for all Channel 4's brands and clips based promos where required. The Senior Producer will be proficient in producing high level multi-media production including but not limited to TV and print. The Senior Producers main priority is to work closely with the Executive Producer to deliver the creative vision of the department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Ability to work across different production and transmission requirements on all channels and for external clients when required.• Management of pre-production, production, post production of all shoots and delivery of promotional materials and on air identity on a day to day basis• Main point of contact and responsibility for each individual project from concept to delivery• Liaise and maintain communication with marketing, media planning, commissioning and presentation departments for all projects• High level of communication with Creatives and Directors to produce inventive projects• Together with the Production Executive ensure rigorous effective budget management, reconciliation on all projects and the processing of invoices; whilst working within the 4C /C4 finance and department policy & guidelines• Proposal and management of crew including the Director for above shoots• Generation of call sheets and risk assessments and booking of post-production etc• Manage legal and compliance clearances for all projects ensuring OFCOM regulations are adhered to, as well as clearances when required for music, clip and image licencing as well as liaise with Clearcast/RACC and BBFC for script and copy approvals.• Together with the Production Executive ensure legal contracts are completed e.g. for cast, crew, composers, photographers, freelancers, suppliers etc• Manage Health and Safety and Insurance requirements on all projects, in line with C4 policies• Manage relationships with external clients and suppliers• Management of assigned director, production team, crew and talent throughout whole project• Produce clip based promos in line with department requirements where requiredJOB FACTORS• Be a creative, imaginative and innovative individual• Clear and effective communicator• Be able to work as part of a team and independently• Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work loads• Be able to produce promotion concepts to a brief• Be able to liaise with marketing, commissioning, presentation, creative departments and external clients• Knowledge of current film and digital formats and camera techniques• Up to date knowledge of regulatory bodies, health and safety and business/production insurance regulations• Knowledge of crew and talent union regulations• Understanding of current post production techniques and editing/gfx systems• Knowledge of supplier contracting and contract negotiations• An interest and knowledge in current media and advertising
