Runner Post Sound Production

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
This role provides a high standard of service and support, for all members of staff and clients at WBDLL, ensuring a courteous and effective front of house service.
Based at WB De Lane Lea, which specialises in sound post production for feature films and television. The state of the art facilities and talented staff allow De Lane Lea to shape soundtracks to extraordinary levels of detail and creativity. The facilities include six networked dubbing theatres, social area, preview theatre and 50 cutting rooms in the heart of Soho.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES First point of contact on behalf of WBDLL for all clients, providing kind, courteous, friendly and patient service at all times to each and every client and colleague.
Update and complete all daily tasks as listed in the Runner Oracle
To provide the Stages with food and refreshments when required
To run any errands requested such as delivering packages, buying food and drink outside WBDLL and keeping an accurate record and receipts of all amounts purchased and for whom
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment at all times, ensuring, the reception, bar areas and studios are focal points and all should be kept clean and presentable.
Provide exceptional customer service and achieve high client and staff satisfaction when carrying out all tasks requested.
Ensure all packages follow correct despatch procedures in a timely fashion.
Produce any daily report sheets if required and produce a personal weekly timesheet.
Liaise with operational, managerial and financial staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services
Prioritise tasks and keep information regarding their completion current. Share task updates with other runners.
Work within a shift pattern that covers evening work.
Run the bar in the evenings.
Answer or redirect general queries
To assist in other departments as and when necessary
To cover reception on breaks and lunch hours
Adhere to the Health and Safety policy
Follow the staff schedule attending shifts when requested
To help with office and equipment moves as required
Ad hoc duties as required

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of clients.
Ability to understand client needs and priorities by questioning in a diplomatic manner
Ability to prioritise
Good organisational skills
Good general knowledge of production and post production techniques, in particular sound, or have a background which would enable the post holder to develop such knowledge rapidly
Numerate with good basic level maths, able to remain accurate under stress
Computer literate with experience of using basic level on computer packages

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSGCSE Maths and English, grade C or above.
