BBC Bristol are looking for a Runner for DIY SOS to provide accurate, effective and timely support to build manager and production team in the office and on location.

MAIN DUTIES
To carry out all or some of the following:
¿ To support the production team in the office and on location
¿ To undertake general office duties including note taking, taking messages, photocopying, emailing
and filing
¿ To assist researcher in securing suppliers and volunteers by means of telephone interviewing
¿ To filter and manage emails in the general DIYSOS inboxes
¿ To maintain casting and volunteering databases
¿ To manage and stock the DIYSOS vans with build materials and manage build and design stores
on site at BBC Bristol
¿ On location to run for building supplies during the builds
¿ To maintain DIYSOS vans and build tools and equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
¿ An adaptable and flexible approach to work
¿ An ability to type and a good working knowledge of IT packages including Word and Excel
¿ To be numerate, literate and comfortable talking on the phone.
¿ An understanding and ability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity
¿ To be able to identify priorities and to complete work in priority order
¿ To have the confidence, motivation and ability to complete tasks accurately and to time
¿ To be able to establish effective working relationships with all the department's staff
¿ Knowledge & understanding of the BBC Values
¿ A clear understanding of the logistical requirements of television production
¿ A confident telephone manner
¿ Demonstrable experience or interest in the media. Particular knowledge of TV production and
the types of network programming made in BBC Wales
¿ Knowledge of building trade and build sites/process an advantage
¿ Driver's license is essential
