Department

Technology Operations is part of the Technology Group within Technology, Distribution & Archives. As the broadcast technology partner for BBC programme teams, Technology Operations is responsible for keeping multi-media output available 24/365 for News, World Service, BBC London, BBC North and Audio & Music.

Role

Reporting to the Technology Operations Release Manager, the Release Co-ordinator will play a key role in project managing the lifecycle of a release, ensuring they go through appropriate testing and into production. This will involve assisting the technical teams in planning deployment, providing regular communication on the progress for the rollout of software and related hardware to IT and Broadcast systems across the UK sites and International Bureaux.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have demonstrable Project Management, preferably gained as part of a Change or Release Management Function. Due to the Service Management aspect of the role, excellent communications skills and proven experience in managing a diverse range of internal and third-party stakeholders in a large, complex and rapidly changing environment are essential requirements.
