Production Manager

We're looking for a Production Manager to join our award-winning creative team in our Walthamstow studio. The successful candidate's organisational skills will be essential to ensuring our team and our global clients continue to win awards for the distinctive brand films and related content we produce. Role & Responsibilities This role gives you the opportunity to help shape the production processes and workflows of ShootMedia's operational, logistical, and editorial teams, developing top level brand content for the digital environment. Working right alongside the Senior Management team and our Account Directors, the Production Manager is key to ShootMedia continuing to thrive, grow, and excel at sharing the best stories about the brands we work with.

The successful candidate will bring a range of experience in Production Managing and Production Coordinating and will be a self starter, a proactive driving force. We need someone who will thrive on being across every aspect of all the projects we're working on and across the wider business as a small but fast growing enterprise. You'll work at every level in the business and coordinate directly with our clients of all levels, the brands we work for, and the agencies and partners we work alongside.

Responsibilities include:
Project & Shoot Planning - Our Production Manager creates plans for projects and call sheets for shoots (using Google docs), negotiates with suppliers, hires and negotiates equipment and pricing for shoots, arranges for kit and staff to be in the right place at the right time, ensures the various technical and logistical systems and workflows we have in place are working properly and finds solutions or workarounds if required. The PM updates the whole company on logistics and planning each week (trello), as well as creating reports on sales, staff time logging (Harvest) for projects, and client retainer budgets.

Creative level operations - The PM holds catch-ups with operations teams on daily basis to keep the flow of traffic and content moving for our regular publishing clients through the studio. As well as working on the more complex commercial level productions we service with various location shoots in the UK and abroad.

Staffing - The successful candidate will assign tasks to members of our operations and post-production teams. They will be responsible for booking and managing freelancers, ensuring we have a pool of external talent we can dip into whenever required. You will also be required to manage Production Assistants & Interns. Training - You will help coordinate team member training sessions, identify team training needs and ensure staff and freelancers have the skills for each project.

Production Support - Working with the Production Assistant Help ensuring our brand style and quality is reflected in all our proposals (InDesign) and presentations (Google sheets/indesign).

Finance - The Production manager is required to produce often complex budgets and quotes (streamtime) for projects and shoots, manage production to ensure we stick to those budgets! They produce invoices (Xero), submit them to clients, check & chase payments, and keep our financial filing organised! They also assist our bookkeeper and accountants where needed, update cashflow forecast spreadsheet (Google Sheets), manage petty cash, log receipts (Xero), pay PAYE salaries & tax (HMRC), and submit VAT Reports (HMRC). Delivery - It's essential we keep track of client delivery dates and requirements (Google Sheets), and the Production Manager supervises delivery of adverts for tv, cinema, and radio, including Clearcast & BBFC rating management, and copy rotations. Experience in cinema delivery or TV trafficking is desirable but not essential.

Legal - Assist in preparation of service agreements for clients, employment contracts for staff and short term deals for freelancers, ensure our insurance and public liability policies are in place to cover all work-related activities, and alert clients to any changes in these policies.

Requirements / potential: Minimum 2 years experience working in a production company.

NB - You should not currently have any holidays booked for August or September 2016.
