Job Title: Production Assistant/Specialist, YouTube Space LondonBackgroundThe YouTube Space in London is part of a Global initiative that serves as a creative production facility for both established and emerging YouTube content creators who are part of the YouTube Partner Program, who we call "creators".At the YouTube Space London, YouTube creators can learn from industry experts, collaborate with other creators and have access to the latest production and post-production digital video equipment.The YouTube Space is part of the YouTube Next Lab team tasked with supercharging YouTube creator development and accelerating creator growth and success through expanding creator outreach, increasing investment in creator education and training, and launching new capabilities in audience development.The RoleProduction assistants are themselves creators with an active interest in and passion about production. As a PA, you will support YouTube creators with all production matters such as optimal camera settings, lighting setups, studio maintenance and equipment checkout/logging. The role may involve working across a variety of areas including lifestyle, gaming, comedy, animation, and educational content.The role requires the ability to work effectively with many types of channel creators from around the world, from large-scale media companies to independent auteurs. We're looking for strategic thinkers with hands on production experience. You are not afraid to pick up a camera and you love geeking out about the latest technology with a can do attitudeRequirementsMinimum: BA or equivalent with a strong academic record and analytical skillsMinimum: 2+ years experience in TV, Film, Digital production Minimum: 1+ years as a combine camera operator & DOP. Minimum: Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.Responsibilities (1-5 bullets)· Liaise with other production specialist on requirements for day-to-day productions· Help creators set up their shoots· Be on hand to answer any issues around equipment & production best practices· Maintain stock room and logging system to ensure equipment is easily accessible and returned after each shoot· Ability to work outside normal working hours including weekendsThis role involves flexible hours, circa 25-30 hours pr week, working mainly 5pm-9pm shifts, day shifts and saturday day shiftsABOUT THE DREAMTEK GROUPThe Dreamtek Group is a dynamic and innovative company that specialises in enhancing communications through creative design in video and web, combined with software development for desktop or mobile applications.
