Who are we?
Breakthrough is a full-service agency - we provide research, strategy, creative concepts, technical build, multimedia production, dissemination and evaluation in-house. This ensures that our strategic thinking informs our creativity, and that our strategy is influenced by real-time audience engagement with our campaigns. Our clients are prestigious and include the Home Office, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, US State Department, United Nations; Australian, Tunisian and Iraqi governments, public benefit organisations including the Rockefeller Foundation, and charities such as the NSPCC.

We specialise in working with multiple stakeholders including government, NGOs, charities, media organisations and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), who help us meet our campaign objectives and drive positive social change.

In four-and-a-half years we've grown to almost 200 people all working across our offices in Australia, Iraq, East Africa, Tunisia and at our headquarters in the UK. It's an exciting time, and we've big plans for the future - and we're looking for
someone to help get us there.

What are we looking for?
As one of our Shooting Producer Directors you will lead a team of people in directing and delivering a number of short form styles for a range of digital platforms; from short-form factual films, mini archive documentaries and studio shoots to promo videos, as well as interviews. Interested?... How does this sound?
• Working closely with the wider Creative and Digital team, as well as Strategy and Campaign colleagues to understand client requirements and project objectives.
• Developing ideas for short, online film content in support of project requirements, thinking innovatively about how maximum impact can be achieved.
• Communicating ideas effectively in formatted treatments and proposals.
• Deliver film content reacting to relevant new stories on a fast turnaround to engage with large online audiences.
• Working across multiple digital projects, you will be responsible for producing engaging social content around client campaigns.
• Overseeing the production of short films, mini documentaries and promo videos, from inception to completion, tailoring approaches to suit multiple digital platforms.
• Proactively engage with new technologies and methods of communication across multiple platforms, sharing new and innovative ways to improve internal processes and approaches.
• Take a balanced journalistic approach to production. Support more junior colleagues, supporting their development and ensuring the highest standards are met.

What we need from you...
• The successful candidate will be experienced in filming sensitive stories, managing vulnerable people or groups and working to tight turnaround schedule.
• Interest/knowledge of Social Media film channels such as AJ+ & NowThis
• Superb story-telling skills & evidence to back that up
• Ability to stay flexible when working across multiple projects at different stages of production - leading a team throughout
• Experience of creating engaging films using archive footage & creating short form promos
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the ever-changing landscape digital media brings.

Nice to have...
• Ideally, you'll have extensive experience shooting with C300/A75/F57 as well as the ability to edit own material if needed and work on archive films.

Lastly, we're committed to hiring a diverse workforce from different professional and cultural backgrounds, and to that end we encourage a variety of people to our company to represent the diverse range of subjects associated with our projects.
