JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced producer, who is required to lead the production of a daily sports news bulletin for broadcast, mobile and internet in the global market; a truly multiplatform venture with various future prospects and challenges.

You will be central in shaping PERFORM's sports news service, and be prepared to manage and direct in all aspects of content production. You must have strong experience in scripting, cutting and voicing packages, as well as leading a team of journalists. This is a daily sports news service producing content in various forms to tight deadlines.

You will be based in our main Feltham production office. The role is full time and will require flexibility as the hours will include evenings and weekends as required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

To give guidance to the production team to deliver original, high quality scripts and produce pictures and graphics with creativity, energy and skill
To supervise the video production staff and help make editorial judgements and selections appropriate to service requirements
To undertake line management responsibilities for a team of assistant producers, including appraisals and reviews, mentoring and training
To develop an understanding of new technologies used in the delivery of multi-platform products and to implement the use of equipment needed to execute this
To work well to tight deadlines and to offer creative and flexible solutions, in order to develop and shape the product and realise its full potential across multiple platforms
To build and maintain a proactive and collaborative relationship with in-house teams, and have an understanding of technical and delivery aspects of TV and other digital media
To play a central role in a regular product review process, including regular meetings with the Managing Editor, Product Owners and Commercial team heads
