BBC Learning is part of BBC Knowledge and Learning, BBC Vision and BBC North.RoleProducers in BBC Learning play a central role in the development, commissioning and production, on schedule and to budget, of brilliant content fulfilling the departmental vision to inspire a life full of learning for all our audiences.They have day to day editorial and managerial responsibility for teams - assigning & supervising work whilst ensuring it's the best it can be. They play a key role in planning and scheduling, line managing & developing staff and ensuring the content they're responsible for is joined up with output from the rest of the department.They are expected to be inspirational leaders with the ability to drive innovation and creativity - using audience insight to inform content creation and exploiting the latest technologies to ensure we're delivering educative material to audiences how they want and when they want it. Producers are expected to work effectively with colleagues elsewhere in the department and in other parts of the BBC to ensure their portfolios are joined up in ways that make sense to audiences and have real impact. Producers must have the skills required to develop the potential of their teams - ensuring staff gain experience working in different parts of the business.
