You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining post production platforms, operations management and post production workflow support. To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate a strong post production support background with experience working with Avid and Creative Cloud. An understanding of baseband video, SDI and IP networking as well as different media infrastructures would be highly desirable. You'll be able to juggle multiple responsibilities at a time with a proactive, quick-thinking approach, whilst managing a team with a calm nature working effectively under pressure. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are tracked in terms of time and budget requirements are fulfilled. The role will allow you to be exposed to an all-round role and delve outside of the job responsibilities at times. This is a thriving work place, looking for someone who is able to start immediately with previous Post-Production engineering experience a must!If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you - Please send your CV through. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Your responsiblities will include (not limited to) - Admin -• Budget control• Software - Rolling and permanent software licences• Hardware - Front of house machines, edit suites, laptops and assistant machines• Infrastructure - Servers, switching etcRevenue -• Job Booking, Job Costing & Quote Creation, PO's Collection & Monthly ReportsPurchasing -• Relationship development with suppliersHard Drive Log Management -• Making sure that the file maker system is working and all iPhones can access the databaseTechnical - • Implementation New Technologies • Workflow design & Implementation • Setting up of Asset Versioning & Delivery• Software Requirements - Review project requirements and confirm that all software meets those requirements• Training - Training of edit assistants on departmental procedure• 3rd Tier Edit Support - Resolve problems that Editors & Edit assistants cannot• LTO Archive maintenance - Checking for errors on the SDNA server & Restocking tape media and formatting• Share Point Management - Set up of server share points along with corresponding user and group permissions.• Os upgrade paths and obsolescence - Testing of new OS versions with existing programs and when ready rolling out upgrades• File maker Pro database design & deployment - Amending the database to allow new types of data input• Avid technical assistance and debugging - Trouble shoot error messages & resolve crashes• Hard Drive/ Data Recovery (software based)• Disk printer Management and print server shareIT - • Infrastructure Research and Development - Guide development of departmental systems and backbone infrastructure• Switch/IP config • Server Maintenance - Checking on server uptime and resolve errors & checking raid status and replacing any damaged drives.• Diagnose & resolve network problems• File maker pro server system setup - Upgrading and maintenance• Deployment Setups - set up of workflows to reimage post production machines• Remote machine management - setting up machines to be accessible via internet for team members to do remote support
