Role: Post Production/Production Assistant
Reporting to: Head of Post Production and Production Manager
Salary: Between £16k - £18K depending on experience
Media Zoo is looking for a Post Production/Production Assistant to join their friendly bunch of animals in Imperial Wharf. We want someone who can support the smooth running, maintenance and documentation of all post production operations for Media Zoo.
You will be expected to work in a highly agile environment and have good knowledge of post-production workflows and how to support them.
You will be the first line of response to any Post Production support requests for the film team and work with the Head of Post Production and Production Manager to ensure any post production facilities and infrastructure is maintained/operating as required, and escalate urgent or complex issues as required.
You will also be required to be well researched, and constantly improving your own knowledge of emerging technology.
This role is best suited to someone who wants to work in a post production environment, learn, and is passionate about editing.
Responsibilities:
Transcoding footage from shoots in advance of edit date
Helping to maintain storage backups and archive
Resolving post production connectivity and machine operation issues
Consolidate projects and oversee any server requirements/issues
Helping to maintain, test and implement workflows of Post Production
All kit preparation for shoots
Maintenance and Inventory of all kit
Required Skills:
Transcoding/encoding
A can-do and positive attitude
Basic editing
Good knowledge of camera equipment
Mac/Post Production Hardware
Organisation
Desirable Skills:
Editing and good knowledge of Avid/Premiere
Shooting
