Department

BBC East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire is a fully digital region with an innovative and enthusiastic Operations team. You'll work primarily to our evening programme Look North which has one of the biggest audiences in the BBC's English Regions. There will also be opportunities to work on outside broadcasts and possibly to our weekly political programme team.
Role

Working within a small multi-skilled team on a shift system basis, you will work across a range of technical areas including bulletin directing, PSC, satellite truck operation, studio camera work, studio sound and editing at base and in the field. You will be expected to carry out further training to enhance your skill set and progress within the team.
Requirements

An ability to work in live, pre-recorded and pressurised situations is essential. You'll have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in small or large teams on location, working directly with journalists and other technical staff. A good understanding of health and safety issues is also essential.

You will be expected to work flexibly across a range of duties at different times of the day throughout the week, as much of our output is at weekends, early in the morning or late in the evening.

Previous experience of Quantel or FCP would be beneficial, however edit experience on other systems will be considered and training provided. Experience of satellite truck operation would also be desirable.

In addition, you'll know about our audiences and communities so we can accurately reflect all audiences within the region.
