The Office Runner reports to the Head of Operations. They provide a comprehensive, proactive running service across the companies.

Outputs
• Provide a professional Reception service and front of house - meet and make welcome clients and visitors
• Answer telephones
• Provide sickness and holiday cover to the Office Assistant/Runner as required
• Work closely with the Office Assistant/Runner to ensure that there are no gaps in the service to the internal clients
• Print and bind documents and pitch presentations as requested.
• Proactively keep all areas clean and tidy.
• Proactively provide the team with refreshments and ensure visitors are welcomed and their needs met.
• Making trips to the shops to replenish office refreshments and other similar (i.e. bank)
• Manage stationery and ensure supplies are well stocked
• Assist the team on an ad hoc basis, including booking taxis and organising lunches when necessary etc.
• Collecting all deliveries from reception
• Ensure that the kitchen and stationery supplies are well stocked and managed effectively.
• Must be able and willing to participate in a shift system to cover early morning and late afternoon.
Skills, experience, abilities
• Previous work experience of working in an office in an administrative or runner role is desirable.
• Must have very good working knowledge of word, excel and powerpoint
• Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to be part of a team, work well with others in an open-plan department and deal politely with visitors from other companies)
• Professional communication and telephone manner
• Ability to cope in a very busy environment and to perform in high-pressured situations, to be able to prioritise and cope with several tasks at once - to be calm and level-headed
• To have initiative, but also be able to respond to instruction and have a willingness to do whatever is required
• Good IT knowledge is essential and confidence to provide first line trouble shooting
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively without supervision
