Multi-skilled Camera Operator

We are looking for a fully Multi-Skilled Camera Operator for a 9 month fixed term contract, capable of filming and editing reports on a wide range of news stories and features.

The successful candidates must possess a proven track record shooting high quality pictures, a flexible approach with the ability to multi-task, excellent camera skills, competent editing skills and experience of shooting lives. The ability to stick to tight deadlines and shoot and edit a story within a day is also essential.

Key responsibilities include being able to film events and picture sequences in full liaison with other team members, editing to network broadcast standards and work alongside the 5 News Correspondents on location while also being able to work alone to shoot interviews on occasion.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, imaginative and have a sharp eye for picture in T.V. newsgathering. Awareness of health and safety responsibilities is essential and good knowledge of Ofcom regulations would be advantageous.
