Media Assistant

London

We are currently looking for someone to support the Media Manager to ensure the smooth trafficking of all programme deliverables; from receiving new programme material through to delivery to transmission - both domestic and international.

You will log all incoming materials to BSS, TLS and PAM; maintain the delivery and logging of all audio stems and use TLS to create TX Masters and deliver these masters for Transmission. On a daily basis you will ensure tapes are returned to the VT Library and successfully prepare and maintain the Daily Programme Lists in BSS. Every month you will deliver premier programming to Arqiva for Military History TX.

Working collaboratively with others you will check aspect ratio of programming on both Crime and Investigation Network and Bio channels to determine whether particular titles require arcing at VTT or sending to a Third Party; act as a point of contact for all traffic related enquiries from acquired, commissioned and co-produced programming; chase late programming and update and maintain information on premier materials, liaising with production companies when necessary; and effectively co-ordinate any requests for dubs internally (within the company) and externally.

Aside from the above you will also assist in the creation of European materials in the form of mpegs and programme dubs; and QC and spot check incoming master material, ensuring it complies with A E Network UK's technical specifications and reporting on any faults found.

The successful candidate will need to have competent computer skills with experience in BSS and TLS and a knowledge of broadcast tape formats. You need to have good communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in a broadcast working environment is crucial. You need to be highly organised and self-motivated.
