Market Researcher
(fixed term contract, initially for a 3 month period with the possibility of extension)
37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) Salary negotiable plus commission

Canis Television & Media is one of the leading companies in channel planning, development, sourcing and acquiring EPG positions and launching channels onto a variety of platforms including Sky in the UK and around the world.

Deals have involved Sky, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Viacom, Sony, Discovery, Fox, NBC Universal, UKTV, Asia TV, BT Sport, QVC, JML and many others across the BSkyB, Freeview and Freesat platforms.

Our list of potential purchasers is global and the result of over ten years research, with clients in UK, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia, Africa and the USA. Most foreign language channels looking to launch in the UK talk to Canis Television & Media.

We are looking for a detail orientated individual to research the current Pet market, from pet food to insurance companies to dog walkers, building a creditable database of competitors, their products and market trends.

The main responsibility of this newly created role will be calling companies and collecting information and uploading the information in a suitable format.

The ideal candidate must have an excellent telephone manner, the ability abstract relevant data, a professional approach to task and the ability to use the Microsoft Office specifically Excel & PowerPoint. Previous experience of Sales Force will be a distinct advantage.

This role will report into the Director of Local TV, and for the right candidate could evolve into a sales/marketing Co-Ordinator position once the initial database has been built.
