London's most prolific and prestigious film location agency is going through an exciting period of rapid growth during a golden era for Film and TV production in the capital. This is a unique opportunity to build new relationships and deliver key locations to shoots which are then broadcast to global audiences.
The opportunity
As the largest service of its kind, and one which specialises in London centric locations, it has been an extremely exciting time for The Collective. The boom over the past 5-7 years has been in film and drama and both products require a team of location managers. Our pro-active membership of location managers, the size of team we have in place to deliver the highest possible standard of service plus the range and quality of our location database have combined to create an unparalleled service to location managers.
Looking forward, to grow and evolve we need to emulate this level of service across the full spectrum of our enquirers. To achieve this, we are creating a new role which is tasked a clear and simple objective: to increase our business with non-location managers.
This is currently an under-developed area of our overall client base. At the same time, the scale and quality of our location database means we are continually engaged by non-location managers who want to work with us. Unlocking and fully exploiting this potential is the task at hand.
The perfect candidate would hold all of the following characteristics:
Essential3 years + experience with proven success in a comparative role(s)
An in-built desire and ability hit a target
Proactive, positive, proactive, positive
Passion and patience for the production process
You dig the fact you get an extraordinary insight into many of the most unique spaces on the planet.
You always solve the problem ... this role is 'in the middle', creating solutions quickly will positively impact on your level of success
Proven experience in creating systems to improve productivity
You want to take chances and implement intelligent ideas
You are amazing on the phone, you make friends instantly
Growing and leading a team is a natural next step in your career
DesirableAn understanding of the production process, especially non-narrative.
Not allergic to legalese; comfortable generating contracts from templates
Experience working on set on non-narrative shoots
Touch typist; comfortable using Excel, Word and Google Docs
You know your way around a design package like Photoshop
What you will be doing day-to-day?
This is a new role. To assist you visualise what it entails we have written out a hypothetical 'day in the life of' journal entry which sets out what we expect to be a typical but good day in the role once you are firmly in the groove.
This will be sent to every qualifying applicant as part of the next stage in the process.
