Now moving into our 8th year, we are an integral part of the search process and consider ourselves experts in discovering the perfect location for the some of the highest profile feature film and TV shows on the planet. We promote a constantly evolving portfolio of over 2,000 locations in London, and regularly engage with a network of over 3,500 clients who work on high calibre film, TV, and advertising productions in London. We work with every major production shooting in London; a small selection of notable recent projects include '24', Avengers II, Sherlock, Skyfall, World War Z, Downton Abbey, Thor II, Mr Selfridge, Fast and the Furious 6, Red 2, Luther, Call the Midwife and Les Miserables. Our job is to make filming a hassle-free experience; making everything as smooth, simple and as easy as possible. Job Description We are seeking a bright, highly organised, systems-loving candidate with excellent telephone skills and a passion for pursuing a career in London's TV and film industry. To excel in this role, the successful candidate should also hold a genuine interest in architecture and interior design as well as an excitement about developing an in-depth knowledge of this amazing city. The role is specifically in the non-residential department, the biggest department of the wider enquiry team and involves working closely with some of London's most iconic buildings and popular film locations, many of which we represent on an exclusive basis. You will be involved in marketing exercises for many of our highly prized 'Exclusive Collection' of locations. The best bit:After undergoing training you will begin what is commonly considered to be the most exciting aspect of the role; receiving location briefs from our clients and converting them into hires. In short, you will receive and interpret enquiry information to then uncover and present the most accurate location options from our database. If you find the directors favourite option, you will go through an administration and negotiation process to eventually convert the enquiry into a hire ... and eventually see your hard work appear on the small or even silver screen! The successful candidate will be excited about embarking on a process of continual learning and business education involving reading / listening and reviewing self-development books, attending industry workshops and sessions with the company's business mentor. What we are looking for Experience and skills:Experience working in an office environment is extremely desirableAnd/or experience working in any form of film/TV productionIf you have experience already in 'locations' that is excellent news for youComfortable working with Word and ExcelCan navigate around PhotoshopPreferable if hold a clean driving licenceA bonus if you are a confident copy writerAn extra bonus if you are comfortable operating a SLR camera manually Characteristics:A passion for the film and TV industryA keen interest in architecture and interior designsCan handle a high volume of workUnderstands the importance of valuing and prioritising tasksKeen to evolve into an expert negotiatorThrive in working to targetsExcited by working within a team ethosComfortable with numbersA sparky personalityProfessional and friendly phone mannerBoundless enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude Your development and the packageHistorically, for the first 6 months in the role, the investment is heavily one way traffic. The Collective operates a niche service for a specialist department within the filming world, and as such there is a lot to learn to get up to speed and capable which is why this initial 6 month period is at a lower salary rate. After your initial 6 months, you will be in a position to return our initial investment in you and contribute to the commercial development of the company, taking on new and important responsibilities. At this point, you will undergo a formal appraisal, receive a new title and the company will significantly increase your pay from minimum wage to a minimum of £22k per annum. Beyond your initial 18 months, you will receive a 6 month formal appraisal including reviews of position and salary package. At this point you will be firmly on the ladder climbing the company's clearly defined departmental ladder which moves from Assistant Level, to Co-ordinator Level and eventually Account Manager Level. The Collective GroupThe Collective is part of the wider Collective Group, a group of three companies under one collaborative and creative roof in Camden. The group markets tailored selections of a 'master' portfolio of properties through bespoke shop windows engaging the filming, photographic, events and wider production worlds.
