Line Producer (Stop Motion)

Galway

Telegael wishes to recruit a Line Producer for a stop-motion animated Feature Film to be produced at its stop-motion studios in Galway, Ireland.

MORTEN is the first stop-motion animation feature film ever to be produced in Ireland. The film is a magical adventure about a young boy who finds himself magically shrunken down and Captain of his own toy ship. Featuring the voices of Brendan Gleeson, Ciarán Hinds, Pauline McGlynn, Tommy Tiernan, Jason Byrne and other leading Irish talent, the film is an international co-production with Nukufilm in Estonia and Grid VFX studios of Belgium.

The successful candidate will have experience in animation production, and possess outstanding leadership and organisational skills.

The assignment commences in May 2016 at Telegael's stop-motion studios, located at Tully Industrial Estate, Baile na hAbhainn, Galway. The contract term is 10 months with a possible extension to 12 months.

Responsibilities include:Managing the production schedule and monitoring output, shooting deadlines and deliveries.
Devising and maintaining best-practice processes and procedures, including workflow, back up and archiving as well as technical and quality standards.
Overseeing project schedules, studio cash-flow and managing the project budget.
Coordinating reviews and approvals process involving animators, directors and producers.
Directly managing the Production team and all Heads of Department reporting to the Line Producer.
Crew well-being and health and safety.
Liaising with the Telegael post-production team and coordinating delivery of production materials to the post-production manager.
Proactive communication with the director, producer and other key internal parties.
Foreseeing and troubleshooting production pipeline delays.
Maintaining effective communication with overseas coproducer studios.
Maintaining open and ongoing communication with all crew via regular departmental meetings and through efficient and appropriate use of modern communication tools.
Reporting to senior Telegael management team.

Requirements:Industry experience working as a Line Producer or similar, preferably with prior experience as a line producer in animation.
Comprehension and experience of the animation industry and its various platforms.
Experience of managing a creative team.
Excellent communication skills.
Advanced level of understanding of the technical processes involved in film production.
Diplomacy and sensitivity.
Attention to detail.
Good computer literacy.
