Owing to a recent promotion and the opening of our HD Studios complex, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Lighting Electrician.

The purpose of the job is to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Lighting systems, equipment and the implementation of Studio electrical Health and Safety, ensuring studio electrical and rig installations are maintained to current Health and Safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the Manager of Lighting, Studio Lighting Specialist, Lighting directors, Supervising Lighting Electrician and Senior Electricians the Lighting Electrician will rig, set and balance lighting to highest industry standards and will contribute to the transformation of Broadcast Operations into the industry's leading broadcast division.

Creating/crafting the light settings within the studios in accordance with the different programs requirements, operating studio lighting consoles to a basic level and carrying out front line maintenance of the lighting facilities and systems will be required.

Working with other Production Staff in maintaining a tidy safe Studio Environment and share ownership of Lighting equipment and control system failures / issues in the Studio Environments and if necessary escalate to relevant parties in a timely fashion.



What we are looking for

This role requires qualification to current Electrical Regulations and completion of an appropriate training course or apprenticeship. Must be proficient in all lighting control and network systems used in the Studio Environments. An effective manner will be required to ensure the efficient delivery of production lighting often under pressure and to tight deadlines.
