Bitesize, used by three-quarters of UK secondary school students, is one of the BBC's most successful online brands and is the cornerstone of our learning content. Bitesize is the BBC's study support service, helping students aged 6-17 with their coursework, homework and preparation for tests and exams. The Bitesize family of sites cover core subjects for primary school students and a wide range of subjects at Key Stage 3, GCSE, Welsh TGAU, Scottish Standard Grade and Scottish Highers. Our interactive learning content includes revision notes, tests, activities, audio, video and games.

BBC Learning, established in 1924, is at the heart of the BBC's overall aim to inform, educate and entertain. It's our mission to inspire a life full of learning for all our audiences. As a department we play a central part in meeting the BBC's purpose of promoting education and learning. We co-commission a substantial portfolio of programmes and produce a range of learning resources delivered online, on-air and through face-to-face activities that connect, create and magnify powerful opportunities across the entire BBC to inspire all audiences. The department is also home to a comprehensive specialist learning offering that includes key brands such as Bitesize, Skillswise, and Class Clips.

In addition, you will also prepare content for publication via content management systems, using AV and image manipulation software where appropriate.

To be successful in this role it's important you have prior experience of web content production.

You will be used to translating ideas into creative content for different audiences.
