Ballistic Ltd is looking for a responsible, enthusiastic and talented individual to help with the on going creation of video content for one of our main clients, a leading scientific tech' company based in the UK. This work may require longer hours than normal, as sometimes we need to turn around edits for next day use, in this event we will pay overtime.

Regular shifts of a week at a time (five days) once a month for a fixed length short term contract (tbc). Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) essential for what are not always straight forward editing assignments.

Final salary/day rate is subject to experience and negotiation. This is for regular video editing work each month for consecutive days which you would need to commit to, as we need an editor available for fixed periods every month.

You must be well organised with a good working knowledge of FCPX, video production and video technology. Successful candidates must be reliable and consistent in their work, with an appreciation for client confidentiality concerning work.

You must be able to cut sound and picture to a high standard, performing all editing tasks from ingest to logging/organising/formatting and delivering finished video within FCPX. You must have a working knowledge of scopes, audio levels and colour controls and what they do.

This role requires someone with an eye for detail, creating high-quality content and working directly with clients. You must be someone who can think for themselves (work without a brief if needs be) and who is able to work quickly, often to tight deadlines. Short listed candidates will get the chance to demonstrate their skills as part of the interview process, where we will ask you to edit a video from source material that is typical of most assignments.
