Junior Development Trainee

London

The role: To provide administrative and operational support to the Boundless Development Team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Development office, assisting development activity and supporting the PA to Management Team when required.

Location: 1 Stephen Street, London

Contract: 6 months fixed-term

Main Responsibilities:

Meetings
• Assist the Head of Development in prioritising and organising meetings for the Development team, liaising with the PA to Management Team as appropriate.
• Book rooms as appropriate for development meetings and advised by the PA to Management Team.
• Meet and greet development guests, and show guests up to the office / meeting room and as instructed by the PA to Management Team.
• Prepare tea and coffee for development meetings and lunch when necessary and as instructed by the Head of Development or PA to Management Team.
• Prepare development paperwork as necessary.

Administration
• Collating development team ideas / to do lists / submissions for channel briefs.
• Maintain the newspaper rota in development and contribute to newspaper rota.
• Maintain a good filing system for both paper records and on the development shared folder (IT), overseen by the PA to management team.
• Keep notes/minutes of development meetings as may be requested by the Head of Development.
• Provide support cover (taking phones, setting meetings) as may be required when PA Management Team is unavailable.

Finance
• Manage Purchase Orders and expense requests for development
• Refer expenses to Head of Production for approval
• Refer to Development Accountant for petty cash float
• Organise expenses for all members of the development office

Equipment
• Maintain a booking log for all edit and camera equipment owned by development.

Development Work
• Research and talent finding when appropriate.
• Take minutes of creative sessions as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:
• General administration or secretarial experience - Essential
• Computer Literacy - Intermediate Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Good working knowledge of Internet & Email packages - Essential
• Experience in television production - Desirable
• Interest in factual television and knowledge of factual tv programmes - Essential
• Previous experience as a production runner or secretary in a media related organisation - Essential (or as a production secretary - Desirable)
