Overall Purpose and ObjectivesClassic FM is the UK's biggest classical music radio station, with over 5.5m listeners per week. Its digital arm, Classic FM Interactive, is the world's no.1 online destination for fans of classical music. Our Facebook page is consistently the most engaged in UK radio and we are making waves with our video content.As we enter our 25th year in 2017, our mission remains to take classical music to new audiences and to entertain both new and existing fans of the genre.The content editor is a junior role within the Classic FM interactive team. The successful candidate will write accurate, engaging content for the website and provide an essential bridge between the online team and the on-air team. This person is responsible for ensuring radio priorities are reflected across Classic FM's digital platforms, and that our on-air and online activities are fully integrated. The ultimate aim is to ensure more listeners engage with our online platforms and more online users listen to Classic FM.Responsibilities:... Work with the digital editorial team to develop content from initial ideas to publication and promotion - all in the distinctive Classic FM tone. Monitor social and news feeds to ensure content is topical and timely. Liaise with producers, presenters and digital editors to plan and execute digitally focussed radio features that engage both listeners and online users. Drive traffic to all areas of the site, with particular focus on tie-ins with our most popular shows, station events and promotions. Ensure on-air priorities are reflected in online content. Schedule tweets for radio shows. Create and update features and show pages for radio programmes. Curate radio index pages on ClassicFM.com Update Classic FM playlist. Manage online implementation of commercial programming briefs. Promote commercial ventures, such as CD releases. Manage app download strategy, and push notification strategy. Evaluate all the above activities through the use of varied analytics tools, report back to the editorial team and make recommendations for future activity.Essential skills/ experience:...
