Interactive Designer/Animator

Salary: £25-30k (plus bens)

Seeking:
A technically skilled and creatively minded interactive designer/animator, with motion graphics experience, who is motivated to participate in other stages of video production, from storyboard to delivery of final cut. Applicants must be able to edit live footage, produce and direct etc.

Background:
'nition, is the creative team within Chandler Chicco Companies. Part of our remit is to regularly produce video content for a broad range of purposes and clients; from simple patient testimonials to complex motivational pieces. Video is the area of 'nition's work where the most creative freedom is enjoyed and a wide variety of video content is produced by the team.

We are seeking to consolidate our expertise with the addition of a second full-time hire dedicated to creating memorable successful video content, with animation (motion graphics) and editing at the core of this new role.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for the freedom to be involved in all facets of production. Though animation and editing will be primary focus, this candidate will be a good communicator keen to learn other skills which could include:
• concept development
• live-action shoot facilitation including logistics
• and anything else that interests them, from scripting to direction

The ability to conceive and execute creative concepts to bring a video to life will be a key factor in the hiring decision. We are after a thinker as much as an implementer. The candidate should have a keen interest for design and have the ability to create fresh/innovative and modern looking video content.

Technical requirements:
Essential:
High level of familiarity and proficiency in Final Cut and After Effects
Proven track record of experience with motion graphics (including kinetic typography) and animation, which underpins much of our work

Useful:
Good working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
Capabilities with Flash and 3D software would also be plus points

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience and should bring a show reel of their most recent work, professional or personal.
