We are looking for Freelance Floor Assistants to join our team based at our Media and Broadcast Centre in Chiswick Park, West London. It's a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same, we're not kidding. Just look around our business and it's easy to see why. There's a lot to get excited about as Floor Assistant here at QVC as you'll have the opportunity to gain vital operational experience and knowledge within a fast paced and fun live studio environment.
As the Floor Assistant you'll be responsible for prepping our products prior to live shows, flexing those creative muscles so that each product is displayed in a way to create the best visual impact (using whatever props you'd like to help). You'll coordinate with the Producers, Presenters, Guests and Floor Managers; answering queries and ensuring the needs of each are met so that each show runs smoothly. You'll also prep the on-air talent, ensuring they are set up properly (for example, making sure their microphones work - we'd like them to be heard!)

Floor Assistant:

We're looking for someone who ideally has a degree/diploma in Media Studies or equivalent, along with experience in a live studio environment. As you can see you'll talk to a lot of different people as Floor Assistant here, so you must also have the ability to communicate effectively. Finally we like an accident-free studio, and so an understanding of studio Health and Safety best practice is needed.
