Executive Producer

London

Reporting to the Head of Commercials, and working closely with the Commercials Business Development Director, the Executive Producer role involves managing and overseeing of the production team and production projects, and being the key point of contact for the team to ensure smooth running of all work and any troubleshooting.

The Commercials team produces work ranging from standard TV commercials and sponsorship, through to same day turnaround, live and socially reactive commercials. This role will be responsible for all stages from production and post production through to the delivery of each project, and primarily owning quality control of everything that leaves the building.

You will be in charge of key relationships both with internal stakeholders and external resources, and be primarily responsible for managing budgets and margin levels to meet individual and department targets. On occasions you will provide key support to the Commercials Business Development Director, helping to win new business by attending pitch meetings, and assisting in costing up specific production ideas.

KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing a team of Producers, setting deadlines, overseeing output and delivering according to
production schedules
- Managing all production and post production staff and freelancers
- Leadership and decision making on productions
- Cross-project planning across all jobs in production
- Writing and managing budgets and schedules with production team - overseeing and
controlling margin on all jobs
- Holding regular department production meetings
- Arranging training and mentoring staff
- Sourcing freelance Producers, Production Managers, Directors, Co-Ordinators, Editors, Graphic
Designers
- Trouble shooting and problem solving on projects, including complex live/as live and socially
reactive ads
- Attending and overseeing PPMs and shoots where needed
- Sourcing and management of third party suppliers (Post houses, kit houses etc)
- Constantly adapting workflows to maximise efficiency
Ensuring the highest Health, Safety and Compliance standards, and conducting risk assessments for all shoots and projects
- Working with the production team to manage clock numbers and music reports
- Maintaining relationships with broadcasters/channels and liaising with Compliance/Clearcast
- Liaising with key talent and music agents on fees, terms and contracts
- Overseeing the delivery of projects to broadcasters and other delivery platforms, proofing and ensuring all work leaving ITNP is of the highest quality
- Working with Account team on management of projects
- Work with Head of Commercials on all future strategy, and team requirements, as and when required
- Support Commercials Business Development Director in pitches, meetings and presentations with agencies, brands and broadcasters, as and when required
- Support Commercials Business Development Director by providing timely and accurate budgets and productions schedules for future projects, as and when required
- Support the team in growing the Commercials Freelance pool (finding, meeting and approving Directors, Producers, Production Managers)

KEY ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong production background and an all-round Producer with experience in budgeting for and delivering content using all common production styles (including studio, on location, multi-camera, graphics, streaming, green-screen style productions) and APA rates for crew
- Strong commercial awareness
- Strong management skills, both managing a team and projects
- Proven client-facing skills
- In-depth knowledge of how the commercials industry functions
- In-depth understanding of compliance regulations surrounding commercials and sponsorship idents
- In-depth understanding of Clearcast operations, submission and approval process
- Strong negotiation skills
- Highly organised with faultless admin skills
- Solid understanding of Post-Production workflows
- Understanding of delivery process and formats (Adstream, IMD)
