Job Description

Assessing and developing scripted comedy ideas, you'll be responsible for delivering the Comedy strategy across the television portfolio, primarily from Independent production companies in the Nations and Regions. Managing critical relationships with both companies and individuals at all levels of the industry across the UK, you'll successfully communicate the genre's needs, and requirements regarding both editorial and compliance objectives. You'll also provide creative and collaborative leadership on Independent productions, driving teams to realise the potential of our channel offering.

With an exceptional track record for delivering comedy programming at Executive level, you'll have a sound knowledge of current commissioning strategy, as well as an understanding of the needs and expectations of our audiences across all (see below) channels. You'll have an established network of contacts, spanning independent and in-house talent, their agents and representatives. But most important will be your passion for comedy and uncompromising editorial judgment.
