Department

BBC Children's Interactive is looking for a digital producer to bring big ideas to big products. You'll be part of a team creating interactive services for an audience that expects CBBC to "just work" across desktop, tablet, mobile and connected TV.

Role

Day to day you'll need to ensure your editorial vision integrates with technology and design across a diverse and ever-changing content portfolio. You'll work with designers and developers to produce playful, usable features that support and enhance the CBBC Brands and also utilise the existing BBC technical architecture. As well as working on CBBC itself, you'll need to work with BBC core services such as iD and iPlayer (and many many more). You'll need to be confident representing CBBC's interests whilst remaining sensitive to the business needs of products that span the whole of the BBC.

Requirements

CBBC needs someone who's comfortable working in and leading multidisciplinary teams. Someone who is imaginative, persuasive, resilient and practical. You don't always get to drive but you'll always be part of setting the direction. You will have proven leadership skills, and stay true to, a core editorial vision whilst accommodating business, technical and design requirements. You will have contributed to a variety of projects simultaneously, you know how to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively. Excellent negotiation skills and good knowledge of the output of BBC Children's on all platforms is essential to this role.
