From concept through to production and covering both UK and International ranges, across children's, family and adult brands, the department ensures that the product development process proceeds smoothly and achieves production/budget deadlines, whilst at the same time maintaining a high degree of design integrity and commercial competitiveness.Role ResponsibilityAs the Creative Manager, you will lead a team responsible for providing an innovation, quality design, product development and approval service for BBC Worldwide's consumer products licensing and Directly Sourced Product (DSP). You will ensure that product development proceeds smoothly and achieves production deadlines as well as maintaining a high degree of design integrity and commercial competitiveness.You will provide a quality design service to licensees and internal DSP initiatives, ensuring a high degree of innovation, design input, range planning and creative and commercial guidance to maximise the brand and commercial potential of the BBC Worldwide portfolio. Working in partnership with all relevant teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that all product development is strategic, on brand and adheres to approval requirements.You will demonstrate strong market awareness, supplying inspiration for the development of line extensions, promoting longevity of BBC Brands for both licenses and DSP activity. This will require a high degree of product innovation, visualization, trend awareness and design guidance, so that Worldwide is recognised as having a USP in its creative and design capabilities.The Ideal CandidateYou will demonstrate a wide range of experience as a Creative Manager, offering substantial international product design and development skills through to range-planning and product launch expertise. You will possess proven commercial awareness, coupled with excellent influencing and communication skills to develop strong relationships with retail partners to fully leverage brand potential.You will be an experienced manager, offering leadership and support to develop a team of Creative Executives and will be well versed in using the Adobe Creative Suite. A good knowledge of manufacturing techniques is highly advantageous.
