The team is responsible for researching, managing and maintaining content and product metadata across the BBC Worldwide catalogue so that:• content versions are identified, marketed and distributed correctly • content / product have correct and appropriate ID's and categories to facilitate accurate return on investment, third party and talent payments and accounting• the content hierarchy supports asset management and fulfilmentThe Content Coordinator role is responsible for researching and maintaining core and enhanced metadata, and allocating financial coding, across the breadth of the BBCW Content catalogue. RoleThe Content Coordinator role is responsible for researching and maintaining core and enhanced metadata, and allocating financial coding, across the breadth of the BBCW Content catalogue.Accountabilities• Research, create and maintain basic and enhanced metadata and financial data, on the various content management systems for all Audio Visual content and product, for all acquisitions, media and business areas, in order to ensure it is accurately marketed, sold, reported on and third party payments made• Create and maintain all levels of the content hierarchy including any versioning of delivered content (eg. edits, foreign language dubs) in order support asset management and fulfilment, sales availability, reporting and correct payaway • Provide weekly reports to Sales, Operations and Marketing teams advising on programmes transmitting the following week in order to support sales pitches and broadcast material deliveries • Produce accurate and timely data feeds and ad hoc reports to downstream systems and teams in order to report and pay talent and third parties • Support the cleanse on demand process and migration of content data from legacy systems to the new Media Maestro system, by undertaking specific transformation activities to enhance the data so as to assign the appropriate content hierarchy structure and improve data sets • Research and promote the continued exploitation of the catalogue by researching content packages and themed collections to support Sales, Marketing, Events and Research activities with on-demand subject searches and programme expertise • (Interim - Manage queries regarding content and sales status, to enable sales to process appropriate sales licenses)Requirements• Essential to have previous experience in data management; preferably in a media and/or content environment• Knowledge of BBC Worldwide acquisition processes is beneficial; be passionate about BBC Worldwide content - go the extra mile in ensuring data is 'best in class'• Able to manage large quantities of data, paying particular attention to detail• Proficient and confident working with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Access databases. Experience with other BBCW/BBC systems is an advantage although training will be given• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational skills, and to be able to handle a number of continuing, business-critical processes simultaneously whilst working to deadlines• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written. Able to build relationships with all levels in the organisation
