We are looking for an Assistant Producer, must have the skills and ability to locate, pitch and pre plan major foreign feature stories working to a tight deadline. This job will start asap.

Accountabilities/responsibilites:

• To generate ideas and pitch stories at weekly editorial meetings with the Series & Executive Producers

• Feasibility test all approved stories, including casting key contributors, preparing budgets and drafting story outlines to ensure that scripts not only excel from an editorial perspective but also from a financial and logistical point of viewpoint

• To work alongside researchers to project manage all major spines until the point of Director Handover

• To work alongside directors to prepare first draft/skeleton scripts until the point of Director Handover

• To assist the Series Producer in creating first draft studio scripts

• To locate, devise, pitch and pre-plan all major foreign feature stories for the show and work alongside the Planning Producer to create viable trips abroad

• Assist the Executive Producer with creative development pitches, new show strands, spin-off and business opportunities

• Role requires matching creative thinking alongside project managing large complex shoots on a typical short turn around and low budget basis

• Any other task as assigned by the Planning/Series/Executive Producer
