We're currently looking for a part-qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Financial Accountant, with experience of working in a complex multinational organisation, to join our finance team based in Media Village, West London on a Continuing Contract.BBC Worldwide has offices in major territories across the world and a strategy to achieve significant growth over the next five years. In 2011/12, BBC Worldwide delivered headline profits of £155m from headline sales of £1,085m, an increase of 8% against prior year. The business continues to expand creatively across all media platforms and key territories to drive maximum benefit from the rights and brands it manages. Role ResponsibilityAccounting and reporting for several centrally managed areas, across inter-divisional and inter-regional trading, intercompany, fixed assets and some key reconciliations, you'll help ensure we meet our reporting requirements and give a true and fair presentation of our financial position and performance.You'll also support projects and business initiatives relating to our asset management systems, co-ordinate and report on quarterly Intercompany processes and provide oversight of the group's some bank reconciliations. Further, there will be the opportunity to provide assistance to ad hoc financial accounting projects. The Ideal CandidateA part-qualified accountant with an excellent academic record, you'll will possess a good understanding of accounting within a group, be familiar with financial reporting and consolidation adjustments in a multinational and multi-currency environment. You'll also be familiar with intercompany reconciliations and have some awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements under both IFRS and UK GAAP.You'll also have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation, strong attention to detail with a track record of solving complex problems. You will offer experience of presenting sound and well reasoned arguments and draw from a range of strategies to challenge and persuade people in a way that results in agreement. A genuine interest in the Entertainment and Media sector is strongly preferred along with prior experience of using SAP.
