Great Marlborough Productions Ltd in partnership with Cartoon Network London is looking for a freelance ASSISTANT EDITOR for a holiday cover from 29/03/17 to 21/04/17 on "The Amazing World of Gumball".

Dates: From 29/03/17 to 21/04/17

The Role

Working closely with the directors, voice director and senior editor, the assistant editor will help putting together animation series episodes in a fast paced environment. The role requires a genuine interest in working on an animation series, which is a specialist area.

This is a support role to the editors and the assistant will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, working with both sound and picture.
The Assistant Editor should be accustomed to working within tight production schedules and be able to highlight any areas of concern in good time to the editors and the production team.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Animatic assembly for all departments
• Numbering edits
• Shotgun updates
• Updating scripts
• Maintaining the reuse library
• You may also be asked to help with recording scratch voices

Requirements:
• Essential knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Premiere
• Genuine interest in working on an animation series
• Being organised and attention to details
• Good communication skills
• Some knowledge of Shotgun a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of 2D and 3D animation pipelines a plus

Location: LONDON. This role requires you to have the legal rights to work in the UK.
