Meet The Speakers: Fi Cotter Craig & Anthony Owen

Turn On Tune In - March 2016

This Thursday night at The Hospital Club we’ll once again be joined by some great speakers from world of TV, at our latest Turn On, Tune In event, taking us behind the scenes of the ground-breaking shows they’ve worked on. There are now only a handful of places remaining, exclusively for PB members, so don’t miss out! Register your free place on the PB Events pages.

Fi Cotter Craig
Our first speaker on the night is Fi Cotter Craig, an award-winning TV producer and occasional writer.

She is currently the executive producer for the BBC’s 24 Hours In The Past and a BAFTA winner in 2012 as one of the producers of Derren Brown: The Experiments.

Fi will be talking about her work on Channel 4’s 2015 series, The Island with Bear Grylls. The show saw a group of ordinary people dropped on a desert island in the Pacific, with only the bare necessities for survival, and left to fend for themselves for 6 weeks.

Fi was one of the castaways, tasked with filming the life-changing experience. She’ll discuss how she crossed the line from producer to contributor and reveal the challenges of making a survival show in such a remote location.

Anthony Owen
Our second speaker on the night will be writer, producer and magician, Anthony Owen, discussing his work at Objective Productions and revealing his recipe for successful TV trickery.

Anthony has worked as consultant, producer and executive producer on all of Derren Brown’s Channel 4 TV shows since 2000 and has also been magic consultant on Sherlock (BBC One) series two, three and the recent special, winning awards along the way from BAFTA and the Royal Television Society, as well as a Rose D’or.

He has been Objective Productions’ Head of Magic since 2003, where he has also worked as a producer and executive producer, including as executive producer on all eleven series of The Real Hustle (BBC Three), a position he currently holds on Now You See It (BBC One), Help! My Supply Teacher is Magic (CBBC) and Killer Magic (BBC Three).

There will be a chance to put your questions to both Fi and Anthony, followed by networking drinks with the speakers and other guests, all in a great location at The Hospital Club.

Turn On, Tune In takes places this Thursday (10th March). There are now only limited places remaining, so don’t miss it! Head over to our Events pages to reserve your place.
