Rare TV is looking for a JPM / SNR COORD with international filming experience to work on a returning obs doc series for a US broadcaster, ideally starting in the next couple of weeks.

The role will be LOCATION BASED (Johannesburg, South Africa) from mid-June to late October 2024, with a small handover period in the UK once location is finished.

There will be an allowance for a trip back to the UK during the filming period for a rest break.

The position will involve supporting a large crew, complex logistics, and a broad range of health and safety / insurance considerations. The ideal candidate will have experience working on location in difficult environments and have experience with international logistics (including visas, vaccinations, carnets, freight, etc. And managing a Production Secretary, working together to support filming teams. Experience with PMI also preferable.

We believe collaboration, especially within the leadership team is essential to the success and enjoyment of everyone working on a production. The successful applicant will therefore have excellent communication skills and be willing to work closely with the Line Producer and shooting teams and local Fixer to support managing the series harmoniously. This position requires someone with very strong organizational skills and a calm head in complex situations with the ability to be one-step ahead at all times.
