Production Manager

London / Brighton

Speakit is a production company based in London & Brighton, specialising in feature-length documentaries. With over 20 years of production experience, our films have launched in major festivals from Sundance to SXSW and been distributed globally in cinemas, streaming platforms (Netflix / Amazon), and TV (BBC/Ch4/PBS).

Role Description:
Speakit seeks an adept Film Production Manager to oversee the logistical and administrative aspects of our upcoming documentary project throughout the 6 month post-production process. This part-time role, spanning 8 hours per week, will commence from April 29th. The successful candidate will demonstrate prowess in coordinating post-production activities, and have extensive experience executing 'chain of title' deliverables to sales agents and streamers.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the director, producers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation for the production.
- Hiring and co-ordinating with vendors, crew members, and talent to facilitate the production process.
- Manage logistics for on-location shoots, including permits, transportation, and accommodations for 'pick-up' shoots.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the production.
- Provide administrative support, including drafting contracts, handling paperwork, and maintaining production records.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in film production management, preferably in the theatrical documentary genre.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
